Join Dr. Ligia Collado-Vides as she teaches a five-session Phycology Graduate Workshop: BSC6926 during Spring 2018. The workshop sessions will take place on Thursdays from 12-2:50pm.
This workshop will be a combination of lectures, discussion of selected readings and lab sessions. Students will learn about the ecological role marine macroalgae have in coastal waters, and how to identify and classify algae based on their morphological characteristics. Selected species will be used to identify at the species level the major group of algae of South Florida.
