Let’s face it, parenting can be hard and unfortunately, it doesn’t come with an instruction manual on how to best help yourself and your child through every stage.

The Center for Children and Families (CCF) wants to help you win at parenting by hosting a series of free workshops for our community, during the Spring of 2018. These interactive workshops will address the tough challenges that many parents and caretakers face while raising children, and will offer effective strategies to make your 24/7 job more manageable.

Spring Workshops include:

January 24: Tips for Reducing Anxiety in Children

February 7: How to Talk to Your Kids About Depression and Suicide

March 7: Strategies to Manage Your Young Child’s Challenging Behaviors

March 21: Frustrated Trying to Manage Your Child’s Media Devices? (Noon-2pm)

March 28: Raising a Bilingual Child: Dispelling Myths

April 4: How to Talk to Your Kids about Sexuality and Teach Them the Skills to Support Sexual Well-Being

The Parenting Workshops Spring series will begin on Jan. 24th and take place from noon to 1 p.m. in AHC 1, room 110 unless otherwise noted. For more information, please call 305-348-0477.
