The UF Water Institute is seeking a Research Coordinator III who can bring creativity and excellent communication, project management and leadership skills to our collaborative work environment.

Specific Responsibilities include:

-Develop positive and productive partnerships with and among Water Institute Affiliate faculty. Work with faculty teams to develop promising interdisciplinary water-related research, Extension and education programs, identify funding opportunities, and develop proposals to external agencies.

-Serve as project manager/coordinator for externally funded Water Institute project teams. In collaboration with faculty teams, assist in project implementation and execution. Coordinate preparation and submission of project reports, journal articles, and extension publications.

-Serve as Water Institute liaison to UF IFAS Extension water programs. In collaboration with Water Institute faculty, teams develop and implement new outreach and stakeholder engagement programs.

-Build and strengthen interdisciplinary graduate education programs such as the Water Institute Graduate Fellows Program and the Hydrologic Sciences Academic Cluster.

-Raise visibility of Water Institute programs via Water Institute websites, reports, newsletters, press releases, videos, and social media.

-Work with the Water Institute director and staff to plan and execute Water Institute Biennial Symposia, seminars, and workshops.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a relevant earth and environmental science and at least 2 years of experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and project management experience.
