The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center is looking for part-time employees to instruct their weekly field science programs for local schools and the general public. The MSD Biscayne Nature Center is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to environmental education and the encouragement of greater citizen participation in the protection of our natural environment.

Job Title: Naturalist

Location: Crandon Park – 6767 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne, FL 33149

Rate: $15/ hour

Desired Availability: Weekdays from 9:00am-2:00pm, Weekends as Needed

Job Description: Naturalists at the Biscayne Nature Center are trained to lead multiple field programs with students of all ages. No previous experience is necessary, but a strong background in Marine Science and a familiarity with South Florida ecosystems is a plus. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals who have a love for nature and the environment. You will be thoroughly trained on each of these five topics: seagrass beds, mangrove forests, hardwood hammocks, the fossilized reef, and general coastal ecology. As a naturalist you will lead groups of up to 20 students on a hands-on field science program.
