The Center for Women & Gender Studies is re-offering their “Understanding & Preventing Campus Sexual Assault” course.
Campus sexual assault is a real issue on college campuses across the country. This course will consider various factors that contribute to the incidence of sexual assault on campus, while also learning about ways to prevent it. Students will discuss the role of consent and why it matters, the media, alcohol and parties, and other issues related to campus sexual assault.
Dr. Vicki Burns will be teaching this course in Spring 2019 as WST 3011 (Section U01) or PSY 4930 (Section U02) at our Modesto A. Maidique Campus. The class will meet on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:15pm. This course has no pre-requisites and is open to students of all majors and all years.
