The Department of English would like to congratulateMichael Gillespie on being awarded the Fanning Prize in Irish Studies, established to honor Professor Emeritus Charles Fanning of Southern Illinois University and to recognize outstanding scholarship, creative work, and service in the Broad area of Irish Studies.
In support of the award, Professor Gillespie will make a formal presentation (a paper, lecture, reading, exhibition or performance) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the fall semester of 2010 and a version of that presentation will be subsequently published by The New Hibernia Review.
