This fall the Florida Climate Institute (FCI) called on all students across their university partners to create compelling videos on climate challenges that would promote understanding of impacts and inspire action. The Sea Level Solutions Center within the Institute of Water and Environment sent two teams to the FCI’s Climate Challenge Student Video Competition. Students were prompted to create a 2-minute video identifying climate concerns and solutions.
Congratulations are in order for our FIU teams as they were awarded first and third place prizes for their video submissions. First place went to Carlos Tamayo, Noura Alsawari, and Mohamed Zaghlouls’ video on climate challenges and solutions in Miami. In third place was “It’s Time to Open Our Eyes” by FIU student, Manuel Izquierdo.
All of the student submissions can be viewed here.
