FIU men’s soccer player, Santiago Patino, was ranked third in Conference USA in goals and shots, and fourth in points. Set to graduate next month with a major in recreation and sports management, Patino appears to have a future in pro soccer. His draft rights are owned by Major League Soccer team, Orlando City.
Even though the men’s soccer team is losing three of their seniors this year, Coach Kevin Nylen is not worried about his team’s performance next season.
Nylen told the Miami Herald, “We have a good group of guys. “We will miss the seniors. We’ll see in the spring if we replace Patino’s scoring with one guy or by committee.”
