
Sandra Logan-McKibben, assistant professor within the Department of Leadership and Professional Studies, was honored with the Florida School Counseling Association’s School Counselor Advocate: Family, School, Community Award at this year’s annual conference.
Logan-McKibben was recognized for her work in impacting school counselors as well as making a significant contribution to the improvement of school counseling services in the school setting. She is currently collaborating with FIU’s Educational Leadership program faculty to infuse training about the importance and role of school counselors.
Her passion has led her to establish working relationships with the administrative and executive directors in the Division of Student Services, as well as their grade level support teams in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
