Spring 2019 may be a new semester but, great opportunities have returned!

Women’s and Gender Studies majors and certificate earners can now apply for the Elaine Gordon Scholarship and the 200 Society of Professional Women Scholarship.

Elaine Gordon Scholarship 

The program was established in 2000 to honor the life and work of Elaine Gordon, a former state legislator who, for 22 years, championed equal rights for women

To be considered for this $3,500 award, a student must:

  • Be fully admitted in the College of Arts, Sciences & Education as s Women’s and Gender Studies major or certificate earner.
  • Have completed or be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours of Women’s and Gender Studies courses.
  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

200 Society of Professional Women

The 200 was an organization in Miami-Dade County women in the professions. The 200 established this endowment fund to assist deserving women students achieve their career goals.

To be considered for this $3,000 award, a student must:

  • Be fully admitted in the College of Arts, Sciences & Education as a Women’s and Gender Studies major or certificate earner.
  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
