The Division of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Florida International University invites applications to fill a full-time, tenured/tenure track position (rank open) in Statistics starting in fall 2019. Successful candidates will be expected to have a Ph.D. in Statistics and maintain a strong research program (external funding for senior applicants, peer-reviewed scholarly work, mentoring of undergraduate/graduate and post-doctoral researchers), to teach/adapt/develop transformative courses in the discipline, to provide service to the department/college, and to have excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates whose research and expertise aligns with the statistics needs of the Institute of Water and Environment InWE and/or the Global Forensic and Justice Center (which includes the International Forensic Research Institute – IFRI, Center for Advanced Research in Forensic Science – CARFS, and the National Forensic Science Technology Center – NFSTC).
