Join the Agroecology Program within the Department of Earth and Environment as they host an international workshop from May 20-25, 2019.

The International Workshop on Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture (IWASA) can help you grow your farming business. Expert FIU faculty teach you how to incorporate subtropical/tropical fruits and edible plants into your farming operation in environmentally, economically and socially sustainable ways. They also cover the latest in farm management technologies, as well as farm marketing and branding. It is ideal for prospective or current agriculture practitioners. This 1-week workshop is open to members of the local and international communities!

Daily activities will take place at FIU facilities and around various farm locations that host a large collection (more than 300 species) of tropical fruit species and cultivars.
