Capitol Reef National Park in south central Utah is recruiting an interpretive intern with a geology or earth-science related focus. This internship is offered through the Geoscientist-in-Parks program.
Job Description: The GIP intern will research, develop and present educational/interpretive programs (hikes, talks and illustrated programs) primarily on geology, as well as other cultural and natural history topics to a diverse audience. They will staff the visitor center up to 60 percent of the time.
Benefits: This internship is 12 weeks, with a tentative start date of April 29, 2019. The internship offers an AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,566, a stipend of $3,600, a travel allowance of $250 and park provided housing.
