Two of our undergraduate students have been recognized for their abstract on the effects of music timing on aerobic exercise. Stephanie Escobar and Cristina Hernandez, both Physical Education: Sports and Fitness Track majors, will be presenting their research at the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference at the University of North Florida on February 22 – 23, 2019.
Under mentorship by Assistant Professor, Dr. Kostrna, from the Department of Teaching and Learning, their abstract aims to increase exercise adherence through making exercise more enjoyable. The present study seeks to determine if the timing of musical stimuli during exercise can result in a more pleasant workout experience.
