Over the last two years, FIU Tropics has celebrated the merging of arts and conservation by hosting a photo contest. For the Spring 2019 semester, over 60 students with a passion for tropical biodiversity and conservation competed for funding to be used for academic research or travel with support from JJMDigital.com.

- Third place: $100 towards research or travel related to academic work
