Startup entrepreneurs are lining up to pitch their business plans to judges for this year’s Miami Herald Startup Pitch Competition, sponsored by FIU’s Eugenio Pino & Family Global Entrepreneurship Center. Among the corporate executive judges is School of Education and Human Development alumna, Anna Etienne.
With a masters degree in higher education administration under her belt, she became program director of the food incubator at Startup FIU. Her role entails partnering with local food entrepreneurs to help them grow their business.
Prior to Startup FIU, Etienne worked within the local South Florida business community, such as helping launch the first cohorts of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at Miami-Dade College. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate degree at Northeastern University, studying organizational leadership.
