The Department of Biological Sciences at Florida International University is seeking qualified candidates for an Open Rank, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor position (Job ID: 519197).
Scientists who use contemporary tools for understanding algae taxonomy, physiology and/or ecology, and who have prior experience applying this knowledge to detecting, modeling, and/or managing harmful microalgal blooms are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an externally funded research program, supervise graduate students in FIU’s Ph.D. program, as well as teach undergraduate courses, which might include microbiology, phycology, and/or freshwater or coastal ecology.
