Only in Miami does “take me out to the ball game” mean discovering the wonders of ocean research. This season, FIU CASE joined the Miami Marlins’ “Sunday Funday” pre-game to engage families and fans with marine animals from Biscayne Bay, virtual reality goggles and microscopic plankton.
It’s community partnerships like these that are setting the course for an exciting year of FIU CASE outreach across South Florida. By connecting with organization like the Miami Marlins, FIU CASE extends its reach to new audiences. Planet Earth is the greatest classroom to explore and community collaborations like this one bring the excitement of the ocean to explorers no matter where they are.
