FIU alumna and former softball player, Tatyana Forbes, is headed to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo with the Mexico national softball team.

Forbes started playing on the FIU softball team during her junior year, achieving a .315 batting average with 37 hits, and scoring a total of 23 times.

But the road didn’t stop there.

Now a graduate from FIU with a bachelors in recreation and sport management, Forbes will take her talents to Tokyo after helping team Mexico secure a spot in the Olympics with a 2-1 victory over Canada during qualifications.
