Dr. Fernandez-Lima’s research highlighted in JPC’s Young Scientists Virtual Special Issue

Dr. Fernandez-Lima

In this special issue, the Journal of Physical Chemistry targeted innovative research from young scientists in the physical chemistry field. The topics of these papers are in many respects a celebration of the diversity of science that is represented in physical chemistry today.

Among the 82 papers selected is Dr. Francisco Fernandez-Lima’s article “Exploring the Conformational Space of Growth-Hormone-Release Hormone Analogues Using Dopant Assisted Trapped Ion Mobility Spectrometry-Mass Spectrometry” (DOI:10.1021/acs.jpcb.9b03777).

The publication outlines a new way to study the micro-environment influence on the conformational dynamics of three GHRH analogues, ranging from agonist to wild type to antagonist. For more information on Dr. Fernandez-Lima’s research, visit his website (http://faculty.fiu.edu/~fernandf/).
