Career Fair

In preparation for the Humanities Career Expo on March 18, the Department of English is teaming up CASE Career to host a career readiness workshop. The workshop will prepare students to navigate the opportunities afforded by a career fair. Students will gain resume writing skills, interviewing techniques and other career pro-tips.

As more employers seek candidates with strong communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities and intercultural flexibility, the upcoming Humanities Career Expo is an excellent opportunity for students to leverage their in-demand skills.

The Career Fair Readiness Workshop is one in a series of workshops aimed to prepare English majors for post-graduation career success. The workshop takes place on Monday, March 9, at 3:10 p.m. in GC 276. Students interested in attending this event are encouraged to bring a draft of their current resume to the workshop.

For more information on the workshop or how to prepare for career success, please contact Cayce Wicks, student success coordinator for the Department of English, or Diana Fernandez, career counselor for the College of Arts, Sciences & Education.
