Freedom Fund hiring project coordinator

The Freedom Fund is looking to hire a part-time project coordinator in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. The Freedom Fund is a social justice organization that works to build a critical mass against the mass jailing of LGBTQ individuals. They do so through direct services, awareness and policy advocacy work.

HIV prevalence for incarcerated individuals is five times greater than those in the general population. This position is for a Project Coordinator for an HIV prevention and linkage program focused on young men of color who have sex with men. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and from different locations, jails and immigration detention centers.


  • A minimum of one year of experience in social service work or a helping profession is preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to travel regionally.
  • Applicants must live in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach counties.
  • A valid Florida driver’s license, safe driving record and proof of automobile liability insurance.
  • FLDOH certified for HIV/AIDS counseling and testing – or willing to get the necessary certification.

This is a one-year position and pays at $21 per house or $21,840 per year. There is a possibility of continued employment after year one.
