Memorandum: Urgent COVID-19 update

Dean Michael R. Heithaus gave an update on the coronavirus and university closures in a memorandum sent on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

As you have now heard, the university will be moving to remote delivery of classes effective tomorrow. The university will be open and faculty and staff should continue operating as usual. On campus resources will continue to be available to assist faculty with the transitioning to remote content delivery. We are continuing to gather information and would like to invite faculty to a webinar tomorrow at 10:00am where we will answer questions related to remote content delivery. Should more than 300 people join the call, we will host a second session at 11:15am. In the meantime, please begin executing your remote content delivery plans, work with your Chairs and support staff to ensure you have the resources you need to continue operating. At this time, dissertation and thesis defenses can continue as planned. Stay tuned for updated information from Academic Affairs. Shortly you will be receiving suggested language for initial communication with your students.

Here is a list of FAQs from today’s webinar.
