Coronavirus may be helping local fish

Henry Briceno

Research professor Henry Briceño recently spoke to WLRN about how the novel coronavirus may be impacting local waterways and fish that live in them.

Briceño is a researcher and geologist in the FIU Institute of Environment. He has studied water quality across South Florida for over a decade and now provides policymakers with recommendations in response to issues impacting local water systems. He is the co-author of six books and has published more than 100 scientific papers and technical reports for private and public institutions including articles in Estuaries and Coasts and for the American Geophysical Union and National Park Service.
