Four College of Arts, Sciences & Education students signed as undrafted free agents with NFL teams shortly after the completion of the 2020 Draft.

Three were liberal studies students. Anthony Jones and Teair Tart spoke to The Miami Herald on their unique journeys toward becoming pro football players. Jones, a running back who was nearly killed in a drive-by shooting less than two years ago, signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Tart, a defensive lineman who took more than 16 years to play football, signed with the Tennessee Titans. Isaiah Brown, a defensive back, also inked a deal with the Buffalo Bills.

Days after the draft, running back and psychology major Napoleon Maxwell signed with the Chicago Bears.

Two FIU Panthers were drafted, marking the third time FIU’s had multiple players selected in the NFL Draft since 2013.
