
FIU is now offering a new online master’s degree for educators who aspire to become leaders in higher education or K-12 school systems.
Recruiting for the Master of Science in Educational Leadership’s first cohort is now underway. The application deadline is June 1. Classes begin in August 2020.
The program in the Department of Educational Policy Studies will prepare its students for careers such as assistant principal, director, district administrator, instructional coordinator, principal or supervisor. Students can complete the program in as few as 16 months.
The degree is designed to develop visionary leadership and advance learning environments. Students who join the program will learn to develop best practices, become a regarded leader, address community issues and shape current policy to advocate for students and institutions.
Students will be able to complete the program’s internship requirements at their current worksite.
