Fredrick C. Bothe Scholarship for Environmental Studies

The Florida Society of Environmental Analysts (FSEA) is accepting applications for the Fredrick C. Bothe Scholarship for Environmental Studies.

This scholarship is intended for undergraduate or graduate students majoring in environmental science, biology, microbiology, chemistry, physics or marine science.

The recipient(s) will receive a $1,000 academic scholarship provided by the Fredrick C. Bothe scholarship fund. The recipient(s) will be invited to attend the virtual Fall Meeting and Technical Session in October and will be recognized during the conference. The conference registration will be covered by FSEA.

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled as a full time student at any accredited Florida state college or university studying the majors listed above
  • Must not be graduating in the Fall of 2019
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for undergraduates and non-probationary standing for graduates

Requirements:

  • Typed, 500 word maximum, essay about your career plans and how will you use your major to impact the environmental field
  • List of accomplishments in your degree field and/or research projects worked on
  • Submit copy of transcript, does not have to be an official transcript
  • Letter of recommendation
