As a foster home licensing coordinator for ChildNet, Inc., you will be responsible for coordinating foster parent recruitment activities including responding to and following up of initial inquiries, developing and implementing marketing strategies, analyzing demographics to determine recruitment goals, researching target populations and locations to determine where best to initiate recruitment initiatives, seeking opportunities to conduct presentations, participate in speaking engagements that enhance community awareness and increases recruitment potential.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the foster recruitment hotlines and ensure timely responses.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of ChildNet’s recruitment plan.
  • Provide training to potential foster parents that meets criteria put forth by the Department of Children and Families.
  • Utilize Binti to guide potential foster parents through the licensing process.
  • Perform home studies that meet the criteria put forth by the Department of Children and Families.
  • Support subcontracted child placing agencies in developing recruitment strategies to ensure capacity in Broward and Palm Beach.
  • Coordinate with Senior Leadership to ensure appropriate representation for recruitment opportunities.
  • Maintain a calendar of recruitment events and community resources.
  • Conduct and attend community recruitment presentations with flexible work hours to include evening and weekend events.
  • Coordinate and participate in presentations and information for Foster-Adoptive Parent Associations.
  • Assist in researching concerns on foster homes.
  • Assist in organizing foster parent scholarships for the Dependency Summit, Florida State FAPA Conference and FCC Conference.
  • Collect, review and share data regarding recruitment efforts and identify trends and patterns to direct targeted recruitment efforts.
  • Update the monthly pre-service training class calendar.
  • Coordinate and leads the Quality Parenting Initiative activities.
  • Recognize, respect and respond to the unique, culturally-defined needs of persons and families serviced. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Skills / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services, counseling or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in Child Welfare as a foster or adoptive parent strongly preferred.  
  • Experience in strategic planning and short and long term goal development related to recruitment. 
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office 365 Suite and strong analytical abilities. 
  • Able and willing to work with a diverse client population.
