English alumna Daffodyle Saget shared how transitioning from a predominantly Black elementary school to a dominantly white middle school was a defining moment in her life. She remembers being called an ‘Oreo,’ and talks about how that was the first time she experienced systemic racism.

Rosen Gordon, who is majoring in women and gender studies, discussed the power dynamics of race and how zhe is affected as a nonbinding trans man.

There also were discussions on how to be an ally, using social media effectively and on the Black Lives Matter movement.
