Call for interest: NFSTC@FIU seeking consultant

The National Forensic Science Technology Center is looking for an FIU alumni in Panama to help advance the forensic capacity in Panama.

At the direction of NFSTC@FIU the Development Consultant will provide business mentoring services to the Panama Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences forensic development project.

The consultant will:

  • Mentor and assist the Panama Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences laboratories with the development of their administrative manuals.
  • Mentor and assist the Panama Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences Laboratory Directors with the development and implementation of management and administrative policies.
  • Provide feedback on the flow of day-to-day operations and supply innovative solutions to remove impediments to efficient work processes.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship through the implementation of quality policies and procedures, health and safety guideline, as well as other topics.
  • Assist the laboratories to develop and implement systems for monitoring and evaluation.
  • Provide monthly reports concerning the status of mentorship activities.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive background in management reviews and planning.
  • Extensive knowledge of Panama’s political and cultural environment.
