The Global Forensic and Justice Center is accepting abstracts for the Virtual 10th Annual Forensic Science Symposium.
The online event, held June 7-11, 2021, focuses on not just traditional laboratory forensic science research and best practices, but also criminal justice issues. Topics for workshops and poster consideration include:
- DNA/Forensic Biology: Genetic genealogy, rapid DNA, validation studies
- Chemistry/Toxicology: Edibles, field testing, hemp analysis
- Lab management and operations
- Standards and quality including OSAC and accreditation
- Impression evidence/firearms/toolmarks
- Forensic imaging advancements
- Digital evidence investigations
- Criminal justice issues
- Forensic intelligence
- Cognitive bias
- Wildlife trafficking
More than 1,000 people from over 40 countries viewed either the live or on-demand symposium held in June 2020.
Registration opens in the spring of 2021. All fees will be waived for the CEU opportunity event due to COVID-19.
