Document and Visual Design – Fall 2021

The Department of English is offering the course Document & Visual Design (ENC 4260-U01) course for the 2021 Fall Semester.

Designed Document

Design is an essential but often overlooked feature of professional communication. Design covers a wide range of choices, from building brand consistency across documents and sites to attending to the ligatures on a font.

Designers use tools such as page grids, white space, data visualizations, color and typography to convey messages and reach audiences. Students will study theories of how people perceive design and will do hands-on document design for real audiences.

Luke Thominet

Luke Thominet will teach this course at the MMC campus on Mondays from 2:00-4:45 p.m.
