YMCA seeks behavior strategist

The YMCA of South Florida’s Youth Development Team is looking for a professional with experience in behavioral prevention/ intervention related to children to join their team in Broward County. The behavior strategist is responsible for the development, evaluation and implementation of strategic interventions for participants at various assigned sites. Additional responsibilities include data input and data tracking, data collection, as well as staff training, environmental modifications and development of student specific materials.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Observing environment, staff and students to identify need for intervention strategy development.
  • Overseeing and assisting direct care staff with the implementation of positive behavior strategies associated with the individuals’ success.
  • Training and supervising behavior assistants.
  • Providing individual ongoing support, coaching and guidance to frontline staff.

Job requirements:

  • At least three years’ professional experience in multidisciplinary behavioral prevention/intervention work
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral psychology or related field.
