Southeastern Geological Society fieldwork grant

The Southeastern Geological Society is hosting a competition for student research/fieldwork grant awards. The awards help develop geologists in the Southeastern U.S. by supporting geological research and/or fieldwork for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at any accredited university or college in Florida, Georgia or Alabama. Grants are available on an application merit basis. Preference will be given to projects located in the Southeastern U.S., but projects conducted in other geographic locations by eligible students will be considered.

For its 2021 grant, SEGS has allocated grant awards of $1,000 for one undergraduate student applicant and $2,000 for one graduate student applicant.

Applications must be received or postmarked on or before a deadline of Sept. 30 and sent to the awards chairman using the online application form or at the address on the PDF application.
