Debris Free Oceans is a local nonprofit in South Florida dedicated to making Miami a zero-waste city. The nonprofit’s Chef Andrew internship is a six-month program for college students based in South Florida.

They are looking for students passionate about engaging communities with education and outreach to address the plastic pollution crisis. Interns are responsible for coordinating and hosting two educational presentations and one beach cleanup every month. At the end of the internship, interns are expected to consult for a local business and help them become plastic free. After completing all requirements, interns are awarded a $750 stipend to help cover school costs.

Applications are due Thursday, July 1. Applicants will be contacted on July 15 regarding the application status and to coordinate interviews. The interview will take place from August to March. Click here to apply.
