Post-bachelors research associate position

The Engineering Geophysics Group within the Earth Systems Science Division is seeking a highly motivated individual with a commitment to scientific excellence and national impact on critical challenges.

This position has a heavy emphasis on field and laboratory geophysical work. The candidate is expected to:

  • Work in the field to collect high-quality geophysical data (electrical resistivity, electromagnets, seismic, ground penetrating radar).
  • Use scientific knowledge and engineering best practices to improve or adapt geophysical methods of novel applications.
  • Position requires work in the field up to 60 percent and travel up to 25 percent out of state.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have received a bachelor’s degree within the past 24 months or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university. Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 required.
